I have enjoyed hunting at Northstar Gameland for a couple of years now. Terry and everyone there are very accommodating and work hard to help you enjoy your stay and to have a successful hunt. The terrain can be challenging with all the hills and thick woods or a little easier with the open plain areas. It makes for any style of hunting you want to do. I first went to do a closer to home hunt and have returned several times for the friendship and the variety of animals.

I absolutely love this place.!! I am only 1 of the 4 generations who have been coming here since 1976. Terry and his team always do their best to accommodate anyone who comes here. You literally are treated like family from the time you first get here until your hunt is over. I was 1^st brought here by my father and uncle, since then I have brought many friends, relatives and even my wife on her 1^st rifle and bow hunts. It is such a great way to get new hunters into the sport. It is not a canned hunt as many people have said to me. I brought a few naysayers here and it changed their minds in a hurry. The terrain is one of the reasons I like hunting here so much, Its rough in places, steep ravines, thick cover and some nice hills you have to climb... Then there is the game. Whether it's Hogs, Rams ,Goats, Elk, Deer, or Buffalo, Terry has got the good ones.. My wife and I decided to come here for our 30th wedding anniversary and do a hunt.  We love this place.  Terry makes us feel right at home. I had an exciting time harvesting this buffalo.  We can't recommend this place enough.  See you again soon Terry.  Brian Emmons.

I have hunted at North Star Gameland Preserve for over 40 years. I was a taxidermist for about 5 years when I first went to North Star Gameland to try and collect some different species that I hadn't mounted before. As my 2 boys got older, on their 16th birthday, I would let choice what they wanted to shoot a hog or ram.

Then as time flew boy I had 2 out of 5 grandchildren want to shoot either a wild boar or a Spanish Goat. 

Of course when the kids and dad come along on the birthday hunts we both have to take home a trophy also!!

We have had some great huntsmen along with those unforgettable memories that were made by the NorthStar Game Preserve. 

North Star is a high-fence hunting Preserve but a lot of people love to hunt but they don't have a week to give up.

Especially for the kids the success rate is almost 100%. So the hunting experience is a win-win for all concerned.

You can't put a price on those memories with friends, children, and grandkids, and hopefully with my Great grandson!!

 You won't have any regrets. The hunt is what you make of it!!
